Project Cyclone has been selected to participate in the LaunchBox Summer Founders program presented by Penn State University and PNC bank. The Summer Founders program provides funding to help further advance startups and projects. The process to join the Summer Founders program is very selective and we are grateful to be given this opportunity. Project Cyclone was officially accepted into the Launch Box granting the project $15,000 to continue cyclone’s growth and advancements.
The Launchbox Summer Founders program usually takes place in State College at the Happy Valley LaunchBox. Due to COVID 19 the program will take place virtually this upcoming summer. Summer Founders is designed to assist student startups, nonprofits, and other developing projects as they continue to grow their companies. Along with the money, the selected teams also will receive many helpful resources and will gain valuable mentors in the form of already successful entrepreneurs and industry leaders. The Launchbox is a powerful incubator for the teams to continue the development of their business models.
With being accepted into the LaunchBox, the team members at Project Cyclone have agreed to work full time on the company all Summer long. The Launchbox will be a huge benefit to Project Cyclone’s future as it will grant us extra funding, plenty of resources and bring us in contact with those in the industry who can guide them on this journey.
